"A tart temper never mellows with age, amd a sharp tongue
is the only edged tool that grows keener with the
constant use"........... Washington Irving
Lost tempers lead to hot words.Hot words lead to violence.Violence has a vareity of forms. Apart from flying at one another's throats, people tent to use whatever implements are handy as weapon of offence and defence.
Disputes arise because of misunderstanding. The more understanding a man, the easier it is for him to keep his temper in check. In a dispute, both sides are right and partly wrong.A dispute arises becauses both parties think they are absolutely right and the other is absolutely wrong. If that was true, there could be no disputes unless one or both parties were mentally unsound.
There is a tendency to use abusive words even when there is no provocation. In these days of frequent power cuts , shortage of basic necessities and the problems commuting to work in big cities in overcrowded public transport vehicles, provocations are very great indeed. But by losing temper, we are merely in a little worse state than before. Lastly I would like to add ____A sense of humour helps to counteract irritants in daily life and believe me, a SMILE helps a lot.
Its a pragmatic solution for preventing scuffles in a person's daily life. Nice One!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd put it this way: Temporary Excitement of Momentarily Phase from Egoistic Repercussions! If a person can control his 'Moments' and doesn't allow the EGO to take the driver's seat, would be able to overcome these phases.
ReplyDeleteAs suggested by you, Smile and sense of Humor, could be great assets and qualities, respectively, to counter the situation. A person need to have the control jog in his hands, all the time and in such situations, should 'Think before Action'.
Undoubtedly, social circumstances, originating from Monetory, professional and specially family dissatisfactory conditions, have led the today's day-to-day human behavioral towards, so-called 'Hyper Reactive' phenomenon where one finds him/herself always being pushed to a Dead-end. Unfortunate this is yet a fact with same strength of truth!
Anger Management is something that I strongly advocate, in current social life, for all.
Your article is pretty simple and might not be exaggerating if I say, best to make a layman understand. Thats what always gains the maximum attention. Absolute display of 'KISS (Keep-It-Short n-Simple) theory instead of KILL (Keep It Long and Lengthy).
Looking forward to more of these brilliant observations from you. Good Job!
