It's a throwaway age for one and for all.
Nobody wants to hear the heart's
call
Society around us is falling apart,
Things just go wrong right from the start.
Friendships appear to be a disdain,
Instead we use others for personal
gain.
Running for cover, from storm rain,
Feelings for others
slaughtered and slain.
Already the price is being paid.
Society gone and relationships
frayed.
It will only get worse as standards downgrade.
Are we numb to the
slide, or really afraid?
We can change it all, its not too late.
Bring on the love instead of the
hate.
All is not lost if we'd communicate.
Destruction should not be our
final fate.

ReplyDeleteSomehow , I don't agree with this observation - if u read a poet 50 yrs ago ,, he has written same views like ppl hav become selfish , don't care for emotions and so on... I feel love , compassion will always be there,, everybody wants to be loved and cared , its just that feelings come later than basic needs ,, so if a person has overcome the struggle of bread n butter , he wud prefer honest love and emotions over money.. .... Forget about ppl just check urself --- wud u like to use someone for commercial gains or will prefer to relax your own heart and soul by being honest to the person even if u have to loose something on monetary level. I think that relaxed and feel of overwhelm will surpass and win the pleasure purchased with money earned by cheating / manipulating someone.
